Kersti has a Book Chapter accepted !  The book titled Project Management Research - Methods, designs and practices for research into project management which is intended to be an educational tool for student researchers of project management, is to include a chapter written by Kersti and titled Dual cycle action research : a Doctor of Project Management (DPM) research case study . Kersti’s book chapter describes the dual cycle action research strategy she applied in her doctoral research.  The publication date of the book is yet to be advised.

PMOZ 2012 - 'Walk the Governance Talk' - Kersti has a peer reviewed paper accepted for this conference (Melbourne, mid August 2012) - The purpose of Kersti's paper based on the new post graduate Governance of Projects unit to be presented by RMIT University, is to introduce PM practitioners to some of the key current research which addresses - the context for the governance of projects, the definition of governance, governance frameworks and the roles of the project sponsor, project steering committee and strategic Project Management Office (PMO).

Dr Kersti Nogeste

Dr. Kersti Nogeste is a senior program manager with more than twenty years' experience managing projects and programs of work in Australia and North America. In addition, Kersti has attained Doctor of Project Management and Master of Business degrees and is an Adjunct Professor at RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia.


Kersti's key point of difference is her keen ability to combine relevance with rigour - the relevance of her accumulated work experience and the rigour developed by her postgraduate studies. 
As a result, Kersti applies a unique balance of leadership and management to often complex project/program environments, including those highly reliant upon clear communication across multiple organisational interfaces, such as between

  • Projects or project teams;
  • Project/program teams and business units;
  • Clients and vendors;
  • Acquiring and acquired organisations (within a merger/acquisition context).

Kersti applies this same balanced approach to ensure that projects/programs maintain a combined focus on

  • Project/program objectives and their alignment with strategic objectives;
