Kersti a Panel Member at an Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) meeting.
At the invitation of the AHRI Attraction, Recruitment and Retention Network, Kersti will be a member of a panel which will address the topic of attracting, recruiting and retaining project staff, with Kersti addressing the topic from the perspective of an independent program manager.

Kersti an Award Winner - Kersti has been awarded a Highly Commended Award by the Emerald Publishing Literati Network for her peer reviewed article "Understanding mergers and acquisitions (M&As) from a program management perspective" published in the International Journal of Managing Projects in Business (Vol 3, issue 10). Kersti's paper was considered to be one of the most impressive pieces of work the journal’s editorial team of eminent academics and managers had seen during 2010.

Kersti takes up her award of an European Union (EU) Erasmus Mundus scholarship, as a Visiting Professor responsible for contributing to the education of students enrolled in the Master of Strategic Project Management course offered at the Bovisa campus of the Politecnico di Milano in Milan, Italy. Dr Kersti Nogeste

Dr. Kersti Nogeste is a senior program manager with twenty years’ experience managing successful projects and programs of work in Australia and North America.  In addition, Kersti has attained Doctor of Project Management and Master of Business degrees and is an Adjunct Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia. 
Kersti’s key point of difference is her keen ability to combine relevance with rigour – the relevance of her accumulated work experience and the rigour developed by her postgraduate studies.  As a result, Kersti brings a uniquely balanced perspective to program and project management, which is well suited to clients who wish to ensure consistent, complete and quality service delivery, by

  • Aligning programs and projects with strategic objectives;
  • Defining program and project success in terms of stakeholder outcomes and benefits along with the more traditional project management measures of success;
  • Applying process frameworks which balance compliance with performance.

Kersti is a world class program manager as demonstrated by her

  • Consulting experience, academic appointment and post graduate qualifications;
  • Being a speaker at national and international conferences;
  • Peer-reviewed articles and book chapter;
  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP);
  • Being a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors Course (GAICD);
  • Membership of a Standards Australia Working Group contributing to the development of the International Standards Organisation (ISO) 21500 Guide to Project Management;
  • Being awarded an European Union (EU) scholarship as a visiting faculty member for the Master of Strategic Project Management course offered by universities in Sweden, Scotland and Italy.

Kersti’s most recent consultancy assignments have included leading the development of a  “nine figure” business case in the telecommunications sector, a number of roles involved with the management of merger and acquisition programs of work in the utilities and telecommunications sectors and being responsible for the management of telecommunications infrastructure and product development programs of work.  

Kersti’s roles in such strategic programs of work rely on her proven ability to communicate with a wide variety of business and technical, external and internal stakeholders, including senior management representatives such as Program Sponsors, Steering Committees and Governance Boards.
